The Heal My Heart Design Shows God’s Ability To Make Us Whole

I have spoken about the process of creating my jewelry along with pieces of the inspiration that went into it, but the jewelry’s unique design is something I would love to share in more depth. The heart and the cross are actually two pieces that are put together during the process of creation. I played with the idea of leaving the cross separate but decided that it would lose it’s effect if it was swinging all the time. The heart has holes to symbolize the emptiness within all of us, whether they are from grief or another source of pain. Part of my message speaks on our attempts to fill those holes with different things of this world even though we know those things won’t do anything but temporarily cause us to forget our suffering.

That leads to the other part of the design, the cross. The cross fits over the heart covering the holes perfectly. My reasoning behind this choice was to show that the only way we can truly be healed, or made whole again, is through God. He is the only one who can take our pain and suffering through our prayers, and faith, allowing us to come out stronger then before. We have the ability, the privilege, to offer up the things that keep us in the dark to Him, and like Jesus did for us on the cross, He will bear our hurting so that we can be free and whole. The truth of His love for us is so beautiful, and sometimes we forget that we have the greatest ally in Him. But He is there to take on our burdens, even putting us on His back when the challenges are too much to bear. We only need to have faith to receive His love and grace.

This is what makes my jewelry line so special because owning a necklace, charm, or pair of earrings acts as a daily reminder of the great strength we have access to if we just ask.
